To see and experience the Google Earth application with timeline functionality yourself, please follow the steps below:

1. Download and install Google Earth here
2. Download Station Area of Utrecht here(25MB)
3. Layers:

Make sure that you uncheck the layers "3D Buildings" and "Terrain"

4. Timeline:

Press play on the Timeline to start the changing of the city. Click on the wrench icon if you want to change the speed.

You need a fairly new PC or MAC.
